Churchhill

The Darkest Hallway

For the history buff, The Churchill War Rooms are not to be missed when visiting London. The museum is a long, dark, serpentine, underground bunker (quite narrow!) and presents Churchill’s vision, achievement, and life in tremendous, well curated, depth. Wow so much info!

I admit to being really hungover while we traipsed through  And, par for the course, about half way into the  museum portion (which is overwhelmingly informative) nature called, insistently. This required a speedy navigation those the second half of the museum, whose overly warm passageways were packed with moist tourist. My need became a race for time.

Travel Tip: There is only one restroom facility, which is tucked by the entrance, past the gift shop exit, and once out of the exhibit, whoa, considerable determination is required to retrace one’s steps to rejoin one’s party. Eep.

The Churchill War Rooms are highly recommend. Buy your ticket in advance or risk queuing in the rain. Use the bathroom on the way in. Seriously.
