Travel Tip 2

Live from the French Riviera

I’m in the south of France this week, working on this new website, and continuing to ponder the further adventures of Caesar Romano and Dan Albright. Earlier today, in St.-Jean-Cap-Ferrat (I have butchered this pronunciation for days and frankly, have to look up the spelling every single time I type the name), we walked the costal path  around the point and then Darcy and I paddle boarded in a somewhat challenging surf. A treat. A superb activity, and one of our favorite duos + a very early glass of wine, making this a truly lovely and memorable afternoon, our last free time before work and work-associated socializing commences. I’ve been to France a few times, but this? Well it’s like a confluence of what I love most about Italy, superimposed on what rings my bell about France. Rosé and Limoncello. Pastry and pasta. and the palette that exists only on the Mediterranean.  Oh man. Five stars.

Tip du jour: Order the green tomatoes with smoked burrata. And don’t bother with the expensive wine-list or the fancy mixed-drinks: a house wine will do. Cheap, plentiful, delicious.
